The client is a leading player into Oil & Gas, Power and Solar & Energy Management Systems. The client also has diverse business interests with subsidiaries in Automotive systems, IT, Infrastructure and Pharmaceuticals industry

High speed data connectivity is making it easier to connect sensors/ machines to Cloud and use the data for monitoring and analyzing it for productivity improvements.

Client being an industrial process company was looking for an Industrial IoT Gateway that can connect sensors/ machines and send the data over 3G network to cloud. The requirements specifications shared with us were:

  • Processor based system with digital and Analog I/O
  • Isolated Digital I/O
  • Analog I/O: 0-10V, 4-20,
  • Connectivity options: 3G Cellular Network connectivity, Ethernet, 2 USB, 2 microSD cards
  • 24V DC Power Supply based system



Client chose Teq Diligent as a partner to design the IoT Gateway as their qualifying criteria included proven expertise in processor-based solutions with wireless and wired connectivity, understanding of industrial processes, SW capabilities including Cloud connectivity. Teq Diligent delivered end-to-end solution meeting all the requirements, the activities involved:

  • Define hardware and software architecture
  • Design NXP Processor based board with all the connectivity options
  • Customizing and porting Linux
  • SW Application and Cloud Connectivity with AWS

  • Different real-life field conditions were discussed and product was designed for harsh industrial environments
