PSE Power over Ethernet Switch

Project Information:

The client was looking for end-to-end solution to design 8 port 10/100 Port PSE PoE switch. Teq Diligent scope of work was to deliver working prototypes of the product based on the requirement specifications. The brief specifications were:

• Two Non-PoE Uplink ports
• Eight PoE Output ports
• All PoE ports – IEEE 802.3af compliant
• Max Power on each PoE port: 15.4W

Solution:

Teq Diligent owned complete product design process and worked closely with customer’s product management team to deliver this project well within the cost targets. The solution included:

• Realtek RTL83 based system design
• 10 10/100 Ethernet Ports
• 4W power on each PoE Port
• 48V Power supply with over voltage, reverse voltage, over current protections

In this design too, Teq Diligent leveraged its expertise in Hardware Design to deliver a working board without design iterations. The design was done considering all best hardware design practices.
